MARATHON FEVER
I started the feeling of the fever of Marathon on prior day itself.
I entered in to WTC for collecting my BIB, I was alone coz none of friend were registered. I saw stalls of various sponsors, Radio mirchi was hosting show, and every stall had their own small contests. It was like a fair, people collecting there Bib (running number), wishing All the best to each other.
I collected my bib and goodie bag which was quite heavy and then I went to Radio Mirchi stall. The host asked anyone who can dance on stage, I suddenly raised my hand, next moment I was on stage dancing my heart out, and I won the voucher for my performance. I was alone and enjoying having fun, eating at the stalls.
On day of Marathon:
The roads cleared, running bibs pasted on T-shirts, shoelace tightened, and Mumbai moves on. The zeal on display at the Mumbai Marathon-2009 steers ahead.Mumbai Marathon was an exhilarating experience would just be an understatement. Not even in my wildest dreams had I imagined at the time of registering for the event that it’s going to be one of the best experiences of my life. Seeing Mumbai coming out in full strength at pre-dawn was awesome. Whether it was man, women or kids running, walking or on the sidelines the feeling was 100% positive. Everyone helping the next one on with words, cheers or water.
